MNT Greens Ltd is a new Scottish based Film/Tv Greens company, focusing on providing Greens requirements to local Productions and Productions visiting Scotland. From a few indoor pot plants for an office scene to large scale sets requiring vast amounts of Plants, Trees, Moss, etc. We have the contacts to source large amounts of stock in a short time to help with time restraints we know sometimes you might be under.
A greensman or greensperson is a production personnel on a film set who is responsible for obtaining and taking care of anything "green" or natural used in the film production. This may include plants, grass, trees, flowers, and other various landscaping materials like rocks, gravel, sand, etc. We are considered part of the Art Department. The role includes the use of artificial materials such as simulated rocks, silk flowers and items representing greens, such as camouflage netting.
The greensperson functions as a participant in the Filmmaking process as an extension of the art department during set construction and in conjunction with the camera department during filming. In addition to set construction, greenspeople often work "on set" assisting the camera team and other departments in adjusting the set to the changing demands of different camera positions and lighting setups, as requested by the creative leaders.
The range of duties in this category ranges from tending to plant nursery operations (watering, fertilizing, transplanting grass, flowers, bushes, etc.) through to the artful crafting of vines, trees, flowers and the like using cut living material and/or various simulated materials.

Our Background
Since getting involved in the Film industry back in 2012, MNT Greens Ltd Director ( Michael Tomkinson ) has been involved on a freelance basis on many Large Feature Films over the past 10 years. From working on the two most recent Jurrasic Worlds to Fast and Furious 9, OutlawKing, Cruella and the most recent Indiana Jones with a bit of Star Wars inbetween some Credited and some uncredited work to be proud of. Michael holds various tickets and certificates from F+ Forestry First aid, 360 excavator, Telehandler, Forklift, Dumper, IPAF/MEWP giving him the ability to operate a vast array of machines around Studios or On location.
With a love of nature and a passion for creating sets from an idea and a vision, he always dreamed of returning to Bonny Scotland to grow his business and provide jobs and training for local people with his same passion.
